Feb 28 - Mar 5

February 28:

Today is my grandmother's birthday. She died when I was 5 years old from Melanoma. She was the happiest person alive. I love and miss her so much. I wish she didn't have to go, but I know that she is in a better place with better people. Heavenly Father will take care of her.

March 1:

Today when we went to my brothers therapy, we stopped by this really cool store called Rocket Fizz. It has a ton of old games and toys and some weird but funny things. It was really cool.

March 2:

We are now back in cold Colorado with our coats zipped up all the way to our chin. Goodbye sunny L.A. Today Mrs. Hess-Tilton, my teacher, told us we had to do a Leave a Legacy project. I was put in the homeless people group. We had to create a slide presentation and make a mini movie about why our Leave a Legacy project should be about homeless people. I had to make the movie and everyone else were the actors. And Dylan made an appearance in our movie!! This PBL (project based learning) project has been my favorite so far!

March 4:

Yesterday, after school we went to Durango Colorado. It took a while to get there, but when we did it was dark and we crashed in bed. Today we woke up, got ready, and went to a soda factory called Zuberfizz. It was really interesting to see how they package and make their soda. We got some samples and then bought all of the different kinds. Some of them tasted good, and some DID NOT!! Then we went to a honey factory/store. Tobe and I bought bears and Aly bought a bear necklace. I also bought a bee pin. The honey factory you couldn't go into but you could see through windows. We also got some honey samples!

March 5:

Today when we woke up, our hotel had hot chocolate and yummy waffles for breakfast. Then we went to see these old indian houses built a REALLY long time ago. It was cool to see the different types of houses.

February 22:
OH. MY. GOSH!!!!!! WE LEAVE FOR DISNEYLAND TONIGHT!!!! I CAN'T BELIVE IT!!!!!

February 23:

So today we left for the airport at 2:00 am and our flight left at 6:00 am. We took a shuttle and then checked in with security. Then we ate breakfast. I just had a smoothie because McDonalds breakfast is nasty. We all couldn't sleep because right when we were off the plane we were at Disneyland!! We finally landed in Los Angeles!! Our first ride was Indiana Jones. Tobe steered and Aly and I just held on tight to each other (especially at the snake part:). Then we enjoyed the rest of the day. At the end we were all REALLY tired but we had a blast!! And Tobe HAD to buy something or else he would die so we stopped at a Disney store for him. I love Disneyland because it truly is the happiest place in the world!

February 24:

Today Josh and Megan and their boys met up with us at California Adventure. It was exciting to have Josh and them there. They are Disney EXPERTS. The first ride we did was tractor tipping in Cars Land. We even went on Tower of Terror 4 times!! We watched a parade and watched Color World. We rode California Screaming at night which was really pretty because we saw all of the bright lights. Today was really fun and there is only one more day in Disney:(

February 25:

Today is our last day at Disneyland. Josh and Megan are still with us. we rode space mountain 3 times in a row!! I love space mountain. It's my favorite ride! I tried my first dole whip. The ice cream was good but the juice had too much pineapple in it. We watched the day parade, Paint the Night parade, and the fireworks. I bought sparkly Minnie ears, a Minnie Mouse T-shirt, two tsum tsums, and a Mickey Mouse ice cream bar. People even gave us free pins and a 5 dollar Disney buck, which was really nice of them. I enjoyed every minute of Disneyland and am sad It's the last day.

February 26:

Today we drove down to the Newport beach. It was fun to play in the sun and the water, bit I do really miss Disneyland. I wish we could have stayed longer, but I'm grateful for it. Tobe was terrified of every bird he saw. Ducks, chickens, seagulls, etc. We then went to Ruby's for lunch and then went to another beach. The waves down there were really big so we had to stay on the sand, but we still had a blast. We saw some little pools of water in rocks and there were fish and urchins. Aly almost drowned because she dropped a flip flop and the wave swept it under and Aly ran in for it, but luckily she (and the flip flop) is okay.

February 27:

Today we went to the Newport temple. It looks so pretty, but every temple does. We also walked the Hollywood Walk of Fame. There were a lot of people were crowded on the street because the Oscars were going to be playing the day after. Mom was very intrigued and asked the security guards all about if stars would be out on the streets. T.V. makes Hollywood look glamorous but let me tell you. IT'S NOT!!! It's crowded, disgusting, people are cussing, smoking, and arguing about religious beliefs in front of our "closest friends". I would hate to live there. Then at the end of the day, we went to the airport. Aly and I bought a Hollywood hat and then we boarded the plane. (BTW I finally learned how to put videos on here!!!!)
