Sept 20- Oct 3

September 22:

So my mom was holding Terrific Tuesday at the church for a relief society activity. She asked me to babysit the kids for the women who wanted to attend the activities. Surprisingly, we had a lot of kids in the nursery. We do have a big ward, but usually the dads take the kids. Lilly, Sarah, and Hayley  (other 10-11 year old girls) helped out.

September 23:
My brother had a scouts meeting to attend. It held a rain gutter regatta. My brother (my mom) made the sail boat to blow across the rain gutter. He wanted to add one of his lego guys for decor. It turned out really cool. He didn't win anything but he did a good job!

September 25:

My neighbors and friends from the church invited us to go to the Aurora Reservoir. They used to live in California so they had a ton of cool swimming things like paddle boards. The water was cold and had crayfish and sewed so I (the scaredy cat that I am) just stayed on the sandy beach playing volleyball with my good friend, Abby.

September 25:

My friend, Gracie and I were talking about going to the outlets alone (for the first time). My little sister had to come with us while my mom and brother went to Chillies the restaurant. We didn't buy because I'm broke but we did take pictures!

September 26:

Today I got braces. It didn't really hurt to put on and they don't hurt when they are. They don't look bad but they don't look good I got the bands. The colors are pink and blue!

                                    Before:

    After:

Then we went to the Rockies game to sing the national anthem with our choir and 14 others! We got really good seats! We almost caught a ball and a  It was hot, boring, and sunny but it was fun!

 September 27:

We have a hammock and a beautiful mountain here. Our family wanted to find fall colors on the trees to put us in the festive spirit. We brought the hammock and tied it to 2 trees. We weren't on it long because the parents hogged it the entire time but we did explore!

                      We found this awesome tree

September 29:

My mom and dad (the coaches of my volleyball team) decided that it would be cool to go out for ice cream (because we almost won our last game) and to watch the CV game. It turned out to be really fun!

October 1:

We have a fun tradition for the 1st of October to get into the Halloween spirit! We enjoy some donuts, warm apple cider, and watch a scary movie! My mom tried to talk us into watching Sixth Sense, but after we watched the trailer, we decided to watch Coraline. It's like The Nightmare Before Christmas. Maybe next year we can watch the realistic dead people mom:)

October 2:

So what do you do with extra apple cider that no one wants? You sell it for $1 with $2 homemade cinnamon rolls. My mom helped make the cinnamon rolls. We put the apple cider in a crock pot to keep warm. Tobe was the sign flipper (his dream job). He did really great until he said his parents need money, We set them out on a table in the garage because it got REALLY windy! We each got $22. It was super fun!

October 3:

I had a volleyball game yesterday! I was playing against the Bengles. Their team is full of newbies and people from my school. Some of which I don't like and some I do. The coaches daughter for the Bengles was on my old team so their coach and my dad are friends! It was super fun to win! Good game to the other team!

Today and tomorrow we have general conference. It was so inspiring to listen to the apostles. Can I just say that Jeffery R. Holland rocked his talk! Congratulations to Elder Rasband, Elder Stevenson, and Elder Renlud, the 3 new apostles! I loved their testimonies!
